Sports betting price alerts

Catch the line before it moves.

The sharpest market moves first. Some sportsbooks are slow to follow. LineLag spots the prices that haven't caught up yet, and shows you how every alert we've ever sent turned out.

How it works

Same line, two prices, one of them stale.

  1. Read the sharp price

We take the sharpest betting market, remove its built-in margin, and get a fair chance for each side.

  2. Find the slow book

We compare that fair chance with the same bet, at the same line, at each sportsbook. A price at least 2% better than fair becomes an alert.

  3. Grade it at the close

Every alert is checked against the final price before the game starts. Beating that closing price, again and again, is the sign of a real edge.

The record

Tested on two seasons before we sent a single alert.

We wrote the rules down and locked them before looking at any results. Then we replayed them over the 2024-25 and 2025-26 seasons of the NHL, NBA, NFL and MLB, at ten US sportsbooks.

67,978alerts replayed
73–76%beat the closing price
+1.8–2.1%average edge at the close
+0.3–0.6%profit per bet, flat stakes

The alerts reliably beat the closing price. Actual profit across every alert was close to break-even, and that number is too small to call proven. About 46% of alerts were still available at the next check, so speed matters. We publish this because it's what the test found.

Next: college football, soccer and tennis are still sealed and will be tested the same way. From now on, every live alert is logged here as it happens, wins and losses alike.

Our rules

What we promise, and what we won't.

Every alert is public

Every alert is logged with its price, time and result. We never delete a loser.

Same line only

We only compare identical bets. No guessing what half a point is worth.

No locks, no guarantees

An edge wins more than the price suggests over many bets. Any single bet can lose.

Rules fixed in advance

Our test rules were locked, with a dated fingerprint, before any result was seen. Changes get a new version number.
